In the summer of 2000, the European metal gods shined down upon Jason and Mark (and frequent collaborator Chris), when the Milwaukee Metalfest offered up the first U.S. appearances of Opeth, Katatonia and Anathema (I think it was their first time playing the states). The Requiem crew was working on Eclipse magazine at the time and spent some time with the groups, doing interviews, etc. Here are two of those shows that were culled from the soundboards, so it’s fairly raw and bootleg (particularly Opeth), but we wanted to present it as a nice Patreon treat to our Mighty Ravendark Warriors! The Anathema covers at the end of the show, are a special treat.
